Stiftelsens ändamål skall vara att ge bidrag till ungdomar som vill satsa på utbildning, praktik, träning och tävling med islandshästar. Avsikten är att stipendier av viss storlek ska delas ut. Styrelsen äger rätt att ta i anspråk kapitalet om detta bedöms nödvändigt för stipendiernas storlek, även om detta får till följd att stiftelsen på sikt kommer att avvecklas. Stiftelsen ska dock fortleva i minst 10 år.
